Former Masters champion Mike Weir took his game to South Africa where he narrowly missed the cut in the BMW South Africa Open at Glendower Golf Club in Ekurhuleni.

The Brights Grove, ON, native carded two rounds of 73s to come up short of the even-par cutline at two-over par.

Fellow Canadian Austin Connolly, who holds dual citizenship (Canada and the U.S.) finished T69 at two-over 290 total after shooting rounds of 70, 73, 76 and 71.

Chris Paisley of England won the event by three shots with a 21-under 267 score after recording rounds of 66, 65, 70 and 66.

Branden Grace of South Africa came second at 18-under 270 following rounds of 65, 71, 66 and 68.
