They’ll take growing golf at the grassroots level to new heights this year at eQuinelle Golf Club.

The Kemptville-area full-service facility will start by offering a Junior Golf Clinic beginning in June. The clinics will be a series of eight lessons with a PGA of Canada teaching professional.

These 50-minute learning sessions will cover the basic fundamentals of the golf swing as well as the on-course experience. Lessons include putting, chipping, driving, iron play, bunker play, rules and etiquette. The main goal is to have fun and learn to play golf. Maximum is 20 children per group and the fee is $50 plus HST.

Here is the Junior Golf Clinic schedule:

eQuinelle Golf Club plans to also give kids and teens a warm welcome to the game through its summer Junior Golf Camps.

The camps are weeklong events featuring half-day instruction with a PGA of Canada teaching professional.

Students get familiar with the basic fundamentals of the golf swing as well as proper rules and etiquette of the game. Within a safe and structured environment, the boys and girls receive a variety of on- course and driving range instruction.

With the theme of having fun while learning golf, the students will develop the skills and knowledge to practice on their own and play with other juniors on the course. The camps serve lunch daily. Maximum 10 students per group and the fee is $249 plus HST.
