When golfers challenge the back-nine on the Championship Course at Pine View Golf Course in 2021, they’re going to be presented with different kinds of hazards.

This is because management decided to create two ponds that will come into play on holes No. 10, 13, 14 and off the tee on 15.

The ponds replace areas of high fescue and help in two ways. When players’ shots go for a rinse, they can then just go to the entry point and make a drop rather than take a while looking for their balls.

The ponds are also designed to help with drainage challenges on the back-nine.

Pine View Golf Course is a 36-hole facility located at 1471 Blair Rd.

Pine View’s Championship Course is a 6,540-yard par 72 parkland design. The front nine measures 3,420 yards from the tips and is a par 36. The back nine is also a par 36 and plays 3,120 yards. The design provides ample landing areas for tee shots and large putting surfaces that are well guarded by bunkers.

The Executive Course is a 3,516-yard par 62-layout with 10 par 3s and eight par 4s. Bunkers and water hazards come into play on several holes.

The Executive Course underwent a renovation in 2020 to accommodate an all-purpose practice area.
