Two Canadians are on the list of 30 competitors released by the PGA Tour who will take their shots this coming week at becoming the 2023 FedExCup Champion in the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
Corey Conners of Listowel, ON, the 2023 Valero Texas Open winner, and Nick Taylor of Winnipeg, the 2023 RBC Canadian Open Champ, are among the finalists in the 2022-2023 wrap-around season championship. Conners victory was his second Valero Texas Open triumph.
Conners landed in 19th spot on the FedExCup Rankingsand Taylor placed 22nd after play ended at the BMW Championship in Chicago today.
By qualifying for the TOUR Championship, Conners and Taylor receive a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour, an invitation to the 2024 Masters and traditionally it means the players receive exemptions into the U.S. Open and The Open as well (those tournaments have yet to announce their exemption criteria for 2024).
Meantime, the FedExCup champion receives a five-year TOUR exemption.
